After having readher tale he askedher to keepwriting; andweek after week the same situation took place when she presented herself in front of the pharmacist in order to read to him what she had written. Often he fell asleep; from time to time he would open one eye and say: - “I liked this very much” Later these tales won the Toni Gros , en Vic prize. Cala d’Or, In the Sixties Then the moment of her incorporation into the working world came. I came from an environment where there was neither prospect, nor room for dreams. You were only prepared to meet a man, marry and have children. Therefore they bought you a new dress and let you take walks. The discerning eye It seems almost hardly credible, that a working class girl, submersed in a world where there was no library, even less a bookstore where one could have bought a book, had already been dreaming of writing tales. Longing to know why there were people living in a certain way and others, in an obviously very different one, led her to writing stories which emerged on her street day after day.
