SANTANYI MAGAZINE 08
Who choose the choreography und music used in every exercise ? -We, the coaches. We decide the choreography and the music as well as the dress, the hairstyle and the make- up. In the end everything has to fit perfectly because the exercise is telling a story. - Is there any apparatus you prefer ? -I like best the clubs, but most of the girls prefer the ball. The rope presents some difficulties in the beginning, but once you have found the key you really enjoy it. - What are the most difficult elements ? -The pirouettes are very difficult. We have a ballet teacher helping us to learn how to do the gyrations. And, of course, the acrobatic figures like the dolphin or the back bend. - How longhas thisdisciplineexisted in theSportClubTolleric? -It exists since 2003 but I have come to the Tolleric Sport Club in 2008 with a very challenging goal: the reestablishment of a club that had been of great prestige but at that moment it was on the brink of disappearing for different reasons. I had the support of the Club and only five gymnasts. Today we are 35 gymnasts and we have achieved to be present on national level again. - There is a real sense of team spirit. Is there no competition among the girls ? -We are a team. We try to form the girls not only as gymnasts but also as persons. The most beautiful thing of every sport is to share, to help and to acknowledge the effort made by yourself and all the other competitors in order to do one’s way up to the top. Moreover we organise the exchange of gymnasts with a Club in Andorra with the aim of further development and to make friends with other gymnasts. Whenever she can, Jennifer Colina, ex gymnast of the Spanish selection, comes to our Club and we stage a rhythmic gymnastic campus.- Janina Habelmann Silvia Oliver Santanyí magazine 13 ···
