Els meus fills nomen Joana, Tia, Catalina, Andreu i Tonina. Estic perdent la memoria. Només esper que quan oblidi aquesls noms, pugui recordar que els he escrita quí. INTRODUCCIO: MARIA? és el nou espectacle que presenta la compnyia EN BLANC. MARIA? és un text de Marta Barceló que tracta, en clau personal, del que ja es considera com una de les majors epidèmies que pateix la societat: I’enfermetat d’Alzheimer. MARIA? es capbussa dins la vida de la seva protagonista, una dona gran que es veu afectada per aquesta malaltia que paulatinament Ii farà oblidar, un per un, tots els seus records. MARIA? reflexiona sobre la perdua de la identitat però també el pes de la tradició que passa de mares a filles i la responsabilitat familiar. MARIA? és un clam a la memòria i un cant a I’amor entre generacions. EL TEXT: MARIA? és el text més personal de Marta Barceló. Inspirada en la vida de Maria Mesquida, la seva padrina, morta el 1996 després de patir durant anys la malaltia d’Alzheimer. És també un viatge a través del temps que comença a la part forana i rural de Mallorca (zona de L1evant) la segona decada del mil nou-cents,i acaba als anys noranta a Palma. Inevitablement, està marcat pel context històric i social. Així, la guerra civil, I’arribada massiva del turisme i altres fenomens es veuen reflectits en aquest text. És un espectacle d’estructura fragmentaria en el qual s’intenta reproduir el deteriorament de la ment de la padrina, amb bots endavant i endarrere en el temps. Una de les característiques de la malaltia de l’Alzheimer és que comença per destruir els records més recents, aquells que encara no han tengut temps d’arrelar a la memòria mentre que els record més antics es conserven més temps. Com més avança I’obra, més entram en el passat. Tres actrius són les encarregades de donar vida a tres generacions de dones (padrina,mare,filla).Els bots en el temps fa que hagin de multiplicar els seus papers. Maria? I am losing my memory. I can only hope that I will remember I have written down their names here when I forget them. Introduction: Maria? is the new play presented by the theatre company EN BLANC. Maria? is a text written by Marta Barceló and seen from the personal perspective, about what is already considered one of the greatest epidemics that affects our society: the Alzheimer disease. Maria? immerses into the life of the main character, an old lady suffering from this disease that gradually makes her forget all her memories, one by one. Maria ? is a reflection on the lost of identity but also on the burden of tradition that is passed on from mothers to daughters and on the family responsibility. Maria ? is a clamour for memory and a canticle on the love between generations. The text : Maria? is the most personal text written by Marta Barceló. It is inspired in the life of Maria Mesquida, her grandmother, who died in 1996 after having suffered during years from the Alzheimer disease. It is also a journey through time that starts in the rural countryside of Majorca (the region of Llevant) in the second decade of last century and ends in the nineteen’s in Palma. Inevitably it is stamped by the historic and social context. The structure of the play is fragmentized, trying to reproduce the deterioration of the grandmother’s mind, with all its leaps forward and backward in the time, together with the civil war, the massive arrival of tourism and other phenomena reflected in the text. One of the features of the Alzheimer disease is that it starts with the lost of the most recent memory, events that haven’t had enough time to entrench in memory while the longer dated back reminiscences are better conserved. The more the play progresses, the more we enter into the past. Three actresses are giving life to three generations of women (grandmother, mother, daughter).
