Music must be specially written for this instrument andeachorganhas a very particular language of its own that transmits the music and identifies the region the organ comes from or where it was made. We are very fortunate in Mallorca to have a great tradition of organs, in fact it is the area with the most historic organs per square metre in Europe.” In order to maintain this tradition, Tomeu is trying to promote a grand project to build a new organ for the parish church of Selva, with the help of Selva Town Council. Tomeu has been a musician for twenty years now, and from the start he specialised in performing early music for the organ and the harpsichord, one of the most representative instruments of the baroque, giving concerts in international festivals in the Balearics and elsewhere. He founded the International Festival of Early Music in the town of Caimari where hewas born and continues to live. “
