Their aim is to ensure that their children with learning difficulties enjoy the well-being they deserve by providing them with happy and dignified lives. The association was set up in 1962, more than 50 years ago. The work of the foundation: The family and their requirements are key to achieving the foundation’s objectives. Each family is given individual support so they have more control over their lives and happiness. The most important value of the foundation is to advance human rights: to promote a dignified image of people with disabilities and ensure that no one feels exploited. Theobjectiveof thecommercial activityof amadip-esment is to provide training, occupation and employment, through its catering, printing, gardening, organic agriculture, cleaning and management businesses. Achieving economic independence and commercial viability forms the inescapable basis of these activities and services, at the same time creating a social fabric, made up of family members, people with disabilities, associates, professionals, volunteers, customers, collaborators ... all sharing the foundation’s future. Howmany people work for the amadip-esment? “We have a workforce of 490; of these, 180 have learning difficulties with 129 working in ordinary businesses of different types, such as hotels, restaurants, golf courses, hairdressers, shops, cinemas ...” Its daily undertaking for the people involved - the families, the customers, the workers and volunteers - is to create confidence, satisfaction and hope in public administration and society as a whole. amadip is the attention and support to meet needs, esment is employment and howwe want things done. We work with ‘esment’, -understanding, care, attention to detail and being attentive to everything we do. “
